FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

1. What areas of Greater Milwaukee do you serve? The following areas: • Brookfield • Menomonee Falls • Butler • Elm Grove • Sussex • Pewaukee • Lannon • Wauwatosa • Northwest Milwaukee

2. What special experience do you have? Our owner, Dan Stelter, has more than three decades of dog and cat care experience. He was the proud owner of two Great Danes. One passed away. For now, he remains the owner of a second Great Dane, Zara, who weighs in at 180 pounds. He knows how to handle animals large small, unruly, and well-mannered!

3. Are you bonded and insured? Yes. Any decent dog walker / pet sitter is fully bonded and insured. We'll provide proof at the initial meet'n'greet.

4. Can I drop off my pet at your place? We do not offer boarding or kenneling services. We work in your home only and firmly believe that makes your pet happier and healthier than using boarding or kenneling services.

5. What types of pets do you care for? We mainly care for dogs, and sometimes, cats. We're also happy to care for many other types of pets you might have, such as turtles, reptiles, ferrets, gerbils, mice, prairie dogs, and others. Have a unique pet? Just ask!

6. Do I get to meet my pet sitter? Of course! We believe in building strong relationships with both pets and their humans. We also make every effort to keep the same person with your pet every time. Pets, just like humans, thrive on consistency. This also sets a firm foundation for obedience and training.

7. What is your cancellation policy? It depends on the service. For dog/cat sitting during non-holidays and non-summer time periods, it works like this: • More than 8 days' notice: full refund. • 4-7 days notice: 50% refund. • 0-3 days notice: no refund. For dog walking services, we understand that plans change. Walks must be cancelled by 8:00 PM the night before. This is because our routes are planned by 8:00 PM. Cancellations disrupt routing and efficient scheduling. For dog/cat sitting during major holidays and the summer period from June 1 - Sept. 10, or for pet sitting reservations longer than 20 days in length, it works like this: •15 or more days' notice for cancellation: full refund given to client. •7-14 days' notice for cancellation: 50% of total fee refunded to client. •6 or fewer days' notice for cancellation: no refund given; you will be charged the full reservation fee for services. The dog walking cancellation policy works as follows: •Regular dog walking clients agree to give two weeks' notice should they decide to discontinue regular ongoing dog walking service. If two weeks' notice is not given, then the client agrees to pay for what would have been the total cost of two weeks of regular dog walking service.

8. Can you provide service on short notice? If you're already a regular client and have had a meet'n'greet at your home, we can usually provide service on notice, subject to availability. If you are a new client and need this service immediately, a $30 last-minute fee applies for any reservations required in under 72 hours (3 business days).

9. Why do I have to do a meet and greet? This allows us to get to know you and your pet. We'll review your pet's routine and get a feel for how they interact with people. The meet and greet is required for all first time clients and is completely free of charge.

10. I already had a meet and greet. However, I want you to come back for another walkthrough, just to be safe. Your first meet and greet is 100% free. We're happy to come out for another walkthrough, if you feel this is needed. Our standard 30-minute charge of $25 will apply, however.

11. Do you provide service on holidays? Please ask. At this point, service on holidays is only available by special request.

12. What if my pet is injured or my property is damaged? Don't worry! We're fully insured and bonded, just in case something bad happens. That's one of the many benefits of hiring a professional dog walking company. Here's a quick summary of the insurance we carry: General Liability This covers claims due to the injury or damages sustained by a third party: •$1,000,000 per occurrence •$2,000,000 aggregate limit
